Our framing service offers you an opportunity to be closely involved in the best choice of mounting for your art. All our mounting materials conform to modern accepted trade standards and we only recommend ph neutral mounts. We strive to offer and advise on the best available materials to attain the most from your artwork.
Single Mounts
A ph neutral card surround. This usually overlaps the front of your artwork to provide a visual space around your image, and to keep it from touching the glass. We usually recommend this for photos, watercolours prints, posters and certificates. A wide range of colours are available, however pale and neutral colours are more popular as strong and dark colours can be overly dominant on delicate pieces.
Double mounts
A second mount in a contrasting or complimentary colour is also on option to create depth and light to a picture. This is achieved by placing a small amount of the inner mount showing immediately next to the image. As a rule the outer mount is of a lighter colour to the inner one.
Mount decoration
We offer a decoration and wash line service for customers who are looking for a sensitive approach that requires a traditional approach particularly for antique pieces of art.
